Senior AI Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and ship LLM-powered features from prototype through production.
• Build and improve retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, including embeddings, vector search, ranking and evaluation.
• Develop agentic and multi-step AI workflows on top of the OpenAI API and other LLM APIs.
• Expose AI capabilities through FastAPI services and well-designed REST APIs.
• Establish evaluation, observability and monitoring processes to identify quality, latency and reliability issues.
• Optimise model performance, infrastructure cost and production reliability on AWS.
• Package and deploy services with Docker and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Git.
• Work closely with product, design and engineering teams to turn AI opportunities into practical product features.

Technical Skills

• 3+ years of professional AI/ML engineering experience.
• Strong Python fundamentals and production software-engineering practice.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch and Hugging Face Transformers.
• Experience with LLM APIs, including the OpenAI API, and with RAG in production AI applications.
• Experience building backend services with FastAPI and REST APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis.
• Experience with vector databases and vector search, such as pgvector, Pinecone or Qdrant.
• Experience with Docker and deploying workloads on AWS.
• Comfortable with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of LLM evaluation, AI observability and model-performance optimisation.
• Experience with production model deployment and monitoring.

• Ukrainian: Native proficiency (required for this position)
• English: B1 (Intermediate)
