Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical design and delivery of complex full-stack product initiatives.
- Build scalable Node.js and NestJS backend services and responsive React and Next.js frontends.
- Design and evolve RESTful APIs, data models and PostgreSQL and MongoDB schemas.
- Shape architecture, engineering standards and development practices across the team.
- Work closely with product and engineering leadership to turn business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on system design, code quality and implementation decisions.
- Improve application performance, reliability, security and scalability.
- Contribute hands-on across frontend, backend and AWS cloud infrastructure, including Docker and GitHub Actions CI/CD.
Technical Skills
- 4+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
- Strong experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
- Production experience with React and Next.js.
- Production experience with Node.js, NestJS and RESTful APIs.
- Strong database design and data modelling experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis.
- Strong understanding of API design, distributed systems and software architecture.
- Experience with AWS and cloud-native development.
- Experience with Docker, Git, GitHub Actions and CI/CD.
- Experience with performance optimisation, security and scalability of production systems.
- Comfortable providing technical leadership while remaining hands-on with code.
